AKIRA EGAWA arrived in the English TCG in 2019 and immediately became one of the defining illustrators of the modern game. The secret-rare Umbreon VMAX in Evolving Skies — “Moonbreon,” the most chased English card of its era — is Egawa’s, as are the four-part Mewtwo V-UNION, Charizard ex in Obsidian Flames, and the Giratina and Arceus VSTARs of the Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery.

At under a hundred English cards, Egawa’s is the rare artist master set where nearly every page holds a headline card. It is compact, purely modern, and dense with the most sought-after illustration rares in recent memory.
